When the offender Hue Fing-hain has been arrested, the reward will be handed over.

ver. Such were the General's instructions.

In accordance with these instructions the prisoner Hu-a-feng, alias Hu-Yü-shan, was put to death the 28th Oct: at Kowloon in the presence of the death warrant, and the extra reward of 100 Taels forwarded by the General was immediately handed over & distributed amongst the officers, soldiers & detectives as a stimulus to exertion.

I have therefore the Honor to report the date of the execution at Kowloon of this member of the Triad Society for Your information.
